What Athletes Need Great Nutrition?

Hello again! Welcome to the Stay Fueled Podcast! This is Episode #5. My name is Dr. Joshua Eldridge, founder of Stay Fueled. Today, we’ve got a question from Ashley. What Ashley says is, “Who is a good candidate for Stay Fueled? Is it a certain athlete that works out a certain amount?”
Yeah. What a great question, Ashley. Thank you so much for asking that. And I know that Ashley is involved with a lot of different athletes so this is why she asked that question.
Here’s the deal with young athletes. Young athletes are in touch with their bodies. Their brains really understand what’s going on with their bodies. Us as adults, as parents, we’ve been kind of scarred by all the stuff that’s out there. Like the media that’s out there that said things like, “Hey, you don’t need fat in your diet. Carbohydrates are bad for you. You only need to eat protein.” We’ve been bombarded with this for forever so our thinking on nutrition isn’t necessarily pure like a young athlete’s is going to be.
