What Is The Best Protein Powder for Your Young Athletes?

I get asked all the time, “What is the best protein powder or protein supplement for my child?”

Once again, most protein powders are processed and chemically altered to get a large amount of protein in them. The byproduct and accessory products will contain the following:

  • Carcinogens, or cancer causing agents
  • Extremely denatured proteins (ones the body doesn’t use well, or doesn’t use at all)
  • Sugar alternatives, which can be very harmful for young bodies


So what do we want use to use if we know our young athlete isn’t getting enough protein in their diet?

We want to use whole food supplements that are naturally high in proteins, like the following:

  • Peanut butter or sun butter
  • Greek yogurt
  • Egg whites that have been pasteurized


You can put all of these directly into a drink with fresh fruit and vegetables to create a whole food protein shake that will be used for protein, but also is amazing for their muscles, blood, and brain!
